The Airlie Beach Triathlon bike course is set to deliver speed, scenery and smooth racing conditions in 2026. Starting from the Lagoon Pool carpark, athletes head one way out along the stunning coastal road towards Shute Harbour Terminal before making a U-turn and powering back into transition.
Enticer athletes will enjoy a shorter out-and-back, turning just after Mandalay Road before returning to transition.
Sprint competitors will take on one full out-and-back to Shute Harbour and return.
Standard distance athletes will tackle the ultimate challenge — riding out to Shute Harbour, back to the Abell Point roundabout, then heading out once more to the far-end turnaround before making the final push all the way back to transition.
Expect rolling hills, flowing sections and significantly less turning — creating a safer, faster and more spectator-friendly course for all distances.
