With complicated travel restrictions, lockdowns and the lack of capacity to ensure a safe and enjoyable race, it is with a heavy heart that the 2021 COLORBOND ® steel Airlie Beach Triathlon will be postponed, until the 23rd & 24th April 2022.
We share the deep disappointment of this news as we love producing the Airlie Beach Triathlon as much as you love racing in paradise, however as every cloud has a silver lining, we are excited to announce that the Airlie Beach Triathlon will host the 2021/22 Scody Club Championships – North Queensland.
The Scody Club Championships - North Queensland is the pinnacle of club competition in the North and will result in three clubs taking home a share of the additional $5,000 prize pool, thanks to Scody.
This has been an incredibly hard decision for us, but in the current climate, one we trust is right for your safety, the safety of the community and the safety of our volunteers, and spectators.
All currently registered athletes will be offered to transfer your entry to the 2022 race weekend, or a race entry refund, if desired.
The Airlie Beach Triathlon Team would like to thank you for your understanding, patience and support in this challenging time.
The COLORBOND ® steel Community Carnival has something for the whole family including the best local food trucks, live music, kids amusements and fireworks display

The pinnacle event of the weekend is the COLORBOND ® steel Airlie Beach Triathlon for its 22nd edition. We promise 2021 will be bigger and better than ever before.
